WHY: Joseph 11 exists for the purpose of building relationships with like-minded men, for
being challenged, learning more, hearing God together, having a little fun, eating some great
food, and receiving the kind of mutual encouragement necessary for making effective and
steady progress in developing new habit patterns at work. The ultimate goal is to invigorate the
workplace, to renew the community, and to transform culture to the glory of God.
WHO: Josephidians are businessmen, civil servants, artists, educators, church leaders, media
correspondents and any other kind of worker or leader who desires to integrate the Christian
faith with his profession or trade. A Josephidian is one who wants to de-secularize his worklife,
and to journey deeper into this process with a group of 11 like-minded men.1
WHAT: Joseph 11 groups meet together quarterly with 1 trained facilitator. (There are no
more than 12 men per group.) They engage in various disciplines between meetings, including:
reading one assigned book per quarter, keeping a simple record of personal disciplines,
and working with a close friend on The Biblical Worldview Discovery and Alignment Tool, an
instrument designed to bring biblical worldview beliefs to the surface, and to assist in making
connections between these beliefs and one’s work.
At quarterly meetings, input will be presented by Dr. Christian Overman, Director of Worldview
Matters. In addition, Josephidians will talk about their personal applications of the biblical
worldview to their work. They will explain what they are learning from their readings. They
will give a brief report on how they are progressing with The Biblical Worldview Discovery and
Alignment Tool. They will allow others to ask questions. They will get advice from their Joseph 11
peers who are dealing with similar issues pertaining to the integration of faith and work. They
will share successes, challenges and failures. They will pray for one another.
Group conference calls and Internet Forum discussions between meetings will maintain
connections and facilitate growth.
WHEN: Joseph 11 groups meet face-to-face quarterly, for one full Friday in February, May,
September and November. Specific meeting dates will vary according to the particular group
into which one is placed. Placement is determined through the application process. (See “How”
below.) Group conference calls take place in January, March, June, and October, on designated
Monday evenings.
WHERE: Quarterly meetings are held in Bellevue, Washington, near Seattle.
COST: Tuition is $3,500.
HOW: Submit the Joseph 11
Application Form to Worldview Matters. This application is available on the Worldview Matters
